This paper showcases integrated solutions addressing climate change in urban planning, highlighting sustainable mobility and resource use.
This paper examines the challenges cities face in light of climate change. It provides an overview of the latest solutions that can mitigate these phenomena or facilitate adaptation. New technological solutions, whether in the form of various ICT tools that reduce energy consumption or innovative materials, are highly relevant today but are not sufficient by itself. Urban planning must be oriented towards the environment and nature for inspiration, drawing on ideas rooted in sustainability, reduced use of natural resources, sustainable urban mobility, and circular economy principles. The social context, which relies on education, community needs, knowledge, and science, is an integral part of comprehensive planning, which will be discussed in this paper.
