Forest products furnished 30 percent of Poland's prewar exports. As a step towards restoring this trade the government of Poland initiated a new program of forest research in February, 1947. The program projected would do credit to any country. Polish research workers are attempting to overcome by diligence and zeal what they lack in training and equipment.
