Analysis uncovers limited details on engineer forestry units in operations, suggesting ongoing military confidentiality.
War Department security regulations do not permit the publication of detailed information about engineer forestry units serving in theaters of operations. The information on which this article is based was obtained in part from the Corps of Engineers and in part from other sources but was submitted to the War Department prior to publication. It is incomplete in that units serving outside the continental United States cannot be identified by number, names of personnel in command, or location. Likewise the number of units trained to date is military information and cannot be divulged.
