Abstract This address, delivered at a meeting of the New York Section of The Society of American Foresters at Albany, N. Y., January 17, 1946, presents a challenge to the foresters of New York to assume the leadership in the development of a comprehensive plan of action that will assure the continued productivity of the forests of the state and the perpetuation of its wood-using industries.
