Examining the influence of technical carbon levels on peeling resistance in polyolefin nanocomposites, highlighting the role of compatibilizers.
The effect of the concentration of technical carbon on peeling resistance of nanocomposites based on low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, polypropylene, compatibilizer and polyolefins filled with 5.0 wt % aluminium and copper has been examined. Maleic anhydride-modified high-density polyethylene and polypropylene were used as compatibilizers. The concentration of technical carbon was varied in a range of 0-40 wt %. It has been established that polyolefin nanocomposites containing 5.0-15 wt % of technical carbon have relatively high peeling resistance values. The main factors effecting on the formation mechanism of the adhesive contact were revealed.
