Electromechanical processing significantly increases adhesion strength in sprayed coatings, suggesting broader applications.
The results of studies on the effect of subsequent electromechanical treatment on the quality of coatings obtained by electric arc spraying are given. It has been established that the use of subsequent mechanical treatment for strengthening the sprayed coatings allows one to increase their adhesion strength by 8-10 times to 120 MPa. The application of the technology makes possible to expand the field of application of recoverable parts with improvement of their physical-mechanical properties.
