The article focuses on the theoretical study of legal and academic foundations for training future social workers in the context of their capacity to ensure the socio-economic protection of youth at the community level. The research is based exclusively on the analysis of existing sources – academic works by Ukrainian authors, regulatory acts (in particular, the Law of Ukraine «On Higher Education»), as well as materials from open sources. Emphasis is placed on studying modern approaches to professional training that address societal needs, trends in social work development, and the potential for incorporating experience derived from international practices. The importance of integrating modern technologies and innovative solutions into the training of social workers is highlighted, particularly in view of current socio-economic challenges facing youth. It is stressed that professional training should be grounded in a deep understanding of the regulatory framework and academic concepts governing activities in the field of social work. The article does not contain empirical research or practical recommendations but underlines the necessity of further, more in-depth studies of the topic, including direct interaction with communities and social institutions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the existing system of socio-economic protection for youth. The results of this work represent the initial stage of a broader scientific exploration aimed at defining optimal models for preparing future social workers in accordance with the real needs of the youth environment.
