Jointly designing a periodically intermittent state observer significantly enhances stability and performance in nonlinear distributed parameter systems, indicating effective disturbance management.
This paper considers the problem of joint design of periodically intermittent state and disturbance observer for nonlinear distributed parameter systems with incremental quadratic constraints. The nonlinear terms adhere to incremental quadratic constraints parameterized by a set of multiplier matrices, which can represent various classes of nonlinear characteristics. To simultaneously estimate the system state and disturbances and reduce the design cost of the observer, a periodically intermittent technique is incorporated into the joint design. Subsequently, to ensure that the composite error system is asymptotically stable with the H∞ performance level, sufficient conditions are established in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and algebraic constraints through the application of Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed observer design are validated through two simulation examples.
