It discusses the challenges of implementing GCE in the U.S. specifically competing national priorities and the lack of a cohesive framework, while recognising existing diverse approaches as a means of aligning with the nation's pluralistic values. This Global Citizenship Curriculum (GCC) aims to prepare students for active participation in a multicultural and interconnected world, promoting global awareness, critical thinking, and responsible action. It suggests practical strategies for integrating global perspectives into curricula, including issues-centred approaches, intercultural reading, and culturally responsive pedagogy.
