The work aims to identify the features of the lexico-semantic representation of the LOVE concept in the Chuvash language, based on the material of Konstantin Vasilyevich Ivanov’s outstanding work – the poem “Narspi”. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that, for the first time in Chuvash linguistics, the structure and components of the lexico-semantic field of the LOVE concept are studied and described in detail. The article examines the specifics of the functioning of the verbs “юрат” (to love) and “сав” (to love) in the Chuvash language and in the poem “Narspi”, and presents metaphorical images used by the writer to reveal the essence of the love of literary characters. As a result of the research, it was established that the field of the LOVE concept has a rich lexico-semantic periphery, including various lexemes (verbs, nouns, adjectives, pronouns, phrases), as well as special diminutive-affectionate forms. The research demonstrated that the concept LOVE is represented by a wide range of shades of meaning, including both positive emotions (tenderness, joy, affection) and negative states (suffering, grief). The core of the lexico-semantic field of the LOVE concept in the Chuvash language consists of the verbs “юрат” (to love) and “сав” (to love).
