This method combines improved adaptive sliding mode and disturbance observers to enhance speed estimation in DTP-PMSM, suggesting better accuracy and robustness.
The dual three‐phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (DTP‐PMSM) position sensorless robust control is not easy. The intrinsic nonlinearity of a DTP‐PMSM reduces the accuracy of speed estimation, and the exogenous disturbance regrades its robustness. This paper proposes a method that combines the improved adaptive sliding mode observer (IASMO) and the improved disturbance observer (IDOB) for addressing the above issues. First, this paper reconfigures the observation model, which transforms an original nonlinear model into a linear time‐varying one. Based on the linear model, this paper presents a method of estimating speed. However, the presented speed estimation method exists an estimation error. This paper finds the speed estimation‐error and the stator resistance estimation‐error are closely related. Thus, a stator resistance estimation‐error based adaptive algorithm is presented to further reduce the speed estimation‐error. Combing the adaptive algorithm with the presented speed estimation method, this paper designs an IASMO. Next, the coupling term of the current loop is taken to be an exogenous disturbance, and an IDOB is designed to suppress the influences of them. The IDOB extracted the disturbance‐estimation error caused by the low‐pass filter and then added the extracted error in the conventional disturbance‐estimation mechanism. Simplifying the configuration yields to design a new filter for the DOB. Finally, the simulation and experiments verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
