Study demonstrates improved performance in deep-sea exploration vessels, indicating enhanced manufacturing and installation processes.
As a critical vessel for deep-sea mineral surveys, exploration, and sampling, the deep-sea resource exploration ship represents essential equipment for advancing marine energy development. The construction technology of such vessels plays a pivotal role in enhancing exploration capabilities. Among the key components, the rudder-propeller base significantly influences the ship's performance under complex marine environments. This study integrates advanced manufacturing technologies to optimize the manufacturing and installation processes of the rudder-propeller base. By analyzing its structural characteristics and engineering challenges, a processing plan and panel allowance tailored to exploration requirements were proposed. Process optimization measures and high-precision welding technologies were employed to achieve rigorous installation standards. Results indicate that the optimized processes successfully control the base panel's planeness deviation within 4 mm and the roundness deviation within 2 mm, meeting the stringent demands of deep-sea exploration.
