Analysis demonstrates the influence of thermal radiation and viscous dissipation on fluid flow, highlighting energy effects.
The flow of fluid past a stretched surface under heat and mass transfer analysis is crucial because it has several applications in engineering and technology, including metal spinning, polymer extrusion, the fabrication of glass fibres and metal casting. Analysis has been done to investigate the steady, 2D flow of the incompressible Carreau-Yasuda fluid model. The objective of this study is to analyse the influence of heat source/sink, viscous dissipation, thermal radiation, activation energy and temperature-dependent fluid properties on the flow and heat and mass transfer mechanism. By employing the appropriate similarity equations, an associated system of nonlinear partial differential equations is converted into a system of highly nonlinear differential equations. By means of the MATLAB program, Bvp4c is used to find the solutions. The physical parameters appearing in graphs and tables are physically examined. Important findings of this study are viscous dissipation, heat source/sink, thermal radiation, variable fluid properties, and activation energy parameters on fluid flow profiles.
