autoXAS processes and analyzes x-ray absorption spectroscopy data efficiently in situ, suggesting greater accessibility for researchers.
As time-resolved x-ray absorption spectroscopy experiments become more prevalent, new tools are required to process and analyze the large amounts of data measured efficiently. To address this growing demand, we developed autoXAS: a python package for easy, fast, and reproducible processing and analysis of in-situ and operando X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) data. The package features a wide range of interactive plots for data exploration and in-depth analysis of results directly in a Jupyter notebook. autoXAS also offers options for exporting data and analysis results to csv format for easy integration with other programs. In this paper, the features of autoXAS are summarized and exemplified using experimental in situ XAS data of the formation of high-entropy alloy nanoparticles. The autoXAS package can be installed using pip, and the code is open-sourced on GitHub, where we encourage the XAS community to contribute to further development.
