This method calculates damage rate in steel structures with tensile testing, indicating service life implications.
The assessment problem of damage accumulation in a steel structure during operation is discussed. The highest value of uniform deformation during the tensile testing of steel is taken as a criterion of structure destruction. A method is proposed for calculating the damage rate, based on the change in the coercive force, taking into account the value of the maximum uniform deformation of steel under tension and the value of the initial coercive force.
