The project upgrades the water supply and hydraulic modeling in Sokobanja, improving service coverage and reducing water loss.
The paper presents the upgrade of the water supply system in Sokobanja to address seasonal shortages caused by increased tourist consumption and reduced source capacity. The project includes dividing the network into DMAs, splitting the first elevation zone into two to reduce excessive pressure for low-lying users, construction of additional water tank capacity, and hydraulic modeling of the water supply system. Furthermore, hydrogeological investigations are planned to identify additional water sources, reduction of non-revenue water, and expansion of service coverage through the rehabilitation and extension of the existing system.
