Analysis reveals high groundwater reserves in the aquifer of Brčko District, suggesting sustainable water supply solutions.
The paper presents the parameters of the aquifer of the prospective water source "Domažić," located on the northeastern border of the Gradačac municipality, at the junction of the municipalities of Gradačac, Srebrenik, and Brčko District of Bosnia and Hertzegovina. For water supply purposes, the most significant reserves are those of groundwater accumulated in the aquifer of fissure-cavernous porosity, i.e., in the Sarmatian and Badenian limestones of the village of Hrgovi, situated in the southwestern part of Brčko District. During the revitalization of old wells, the construction of new ones, and model testing, the authors have repeatedly confirmed the potential of this area, which is presented in this paper.
