Observational analysis highlights successful feminizing genitoplasty outcomes in CAH with ambiguous genitalia.
This video demonstrates the various components of feminizing genitoplasty (FG) in a case of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) with ambiguous genitalia. A 22-year-old woman who was previously diagnosed with ambiguous genitalia as a result of CAH presented late with complaints of pain during intercourse. After a thorough preoperative evaluation and adequate counseling, the plan of FG was made. She underwent clitoroplasty, labioplasty, and vaginoplasty. She had a smooth postoperative recovery and now has normal-appearing genitalia with adequate depth, normal clitoral sensation, and no dyspareunia. FG can be performed at an older age with satisfactory outcomes.
