Case report highlights uterine leiomyosarcoma presentation in a young woman, suggesting rarity in nulliparous patients.
Abstract Leiomyosarcoma is a malignant growth of uterine smooth muscle tissue . This tumor usually arises independent from its benign counterpart (leiomyoma) in peri and postmenopausal females. Uterine leiomyosarcoma accounts for only 1-2% of all uterine tumors. This is a rare case report of uterine leiomyosarcoma in a 20 year old, presented with abdominal mass and mild discomfort.
