This study finds urgent policy redesign is needed due to declining war veterans, suggesting enhanced collaboration and structural reforms.
This study examines the evolving landscape of national veterans affairs following the elevation of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to full ministerial status. As the population of traditional beneficiaries-warveterans-declines, the research highlights the urgent need to redesign veterans policies to reflect new realities. It identifies key challenges including limitations in current policy frameworks, the inevitable shift toward discharged soldiers as the primary recipients, and the necessity of redefining the identity and paradigm of veterans services. The study emphasizes the importance of structural reform within veterans-related departments and enhanced collaboration between central and local governments. Ultimately, it calls for a more inclusive and future-oriented policy approach that minimizes inefficiencies, meets the needs of both existing and emerging beneficiaries, and fosters public empathy and participation.
