This analysis enhances competencies of youth startups for improved technological sovereignty, suggesting integrated educational approaches.
As the world undergoes a major shift in scientific, technological, and socio-cultural development, Russia is facing the pressing challenge of effectively mobilizing its intellectual resources. A key priority is to identify and support promising innovative youth startups to advance the country’s technological sovereignty. This study aims to address theoretical and methodological gaps in the intellectual and educational support of youth technological startups. The study develops an interdisciplinary methodological approach integrating socio-cultural, socio-economic, management, and technological perspectives, using logical-epistemological, functional-structural, comparative, and decomposition modeling methods. Its application can enhance the creative skills and competencies of youth startup participants. Drawing on Russian and international experience, the study identifies a key factor in optimizing the multi-factor environment for startups: individuals with specialized, universal, and unique technological competencies—a scarce and highly valued intellectual resource. A decomposition model of these competencies in youth startup teams is proposed to develop intellectual property objects (IPOs), forming the scientific and technological core of startups. Practically, the study contributes to the foundations of a concept for realizing the potential of youth technology startups. These findings may be of interest to educators, practitioners, and policy-makers aiming to enhance the impact of youth startups on Russia’s technological sovereignty and global leadership.
