The article presents a scientific attempt to identify and analyze the features of coverage of the radio broadcasting topic (the active process of radiofication in the Soviet Union, the widespread movement of radio amateurs, private and collective listening to the radio by the country's population, the production of expensive radio equipment, visual and audiovisual demonstration of advanced achievements of science and technology, etc.) in the works of Soviet documentary cinema during 1920–1930-s. That is, the object of the undertaken study is radio and film journalism in general, the subject of the study is the features of the repre-sentation of radio on the documentary screen.
