This study demonstrates the synthesis of Co-doped MoS2 electrodes, achieving high specific capacitance and energy density in supercapacitors.
The structural design of electrode materials is an effective strategy for the improvement of the performance of energy storage devices. Hence, a 3D lamellar spherical electrode film of bamboo‐derived carbon (BDC)/Co‐doped MoS 2 (Co‐doped MoS 2 @10A‐BDC) is synthesized via a two‐step method in this work. Remarkably, the Co‐doped MoS 2 @10A‐BDC displays a specific capacitance of 1070 F g −1 at 1.0 A g −1 . To further evaluate practical applicability of Co‐doped MoS 2 @10A‐BDC, a supercapacitor device (Co‐doped MoS 2 @10A‐BDC//10A‐BDC) is assembled achieves an energy density of 101.8 Wh kg −1 at 800 W kg −1 , and the capacity retention rate remains as high as 89.1% after 8000 cycles. To summarize, this work successfully synthesizes high‐capacitance and high‐energy‐density electrode materials using hydrothermal synthesis.
