This work demonstrates increased energy density and charge transfer in supercapacitors using a novel heterojunction approach.
To break through the inherent limitations of the energy density of supercapacitors, this study innovatively adopted the metal‐organic framework (MOF) template‐guided strategy to synthesize the Mn/Co‐BTC precursor by solvothermal method. Heterostructured MnS@Co 1‐x S bimetallic sulfide composites were successfully prepared by two‐step vulcanization calcination. The material fully combines the structural advantages derived from MOF with the bimetallic synergistic effect: on the one hand, the atomically dispersed Mn/Co ions in the precursor form a heterojunction with a tight interface contact after sulfidation. The built‐in electric field significantly accelerates charge transfer and enhances the pseudocapacitance contribution through the synergistic reaction of biredox pairs. On the other hand, the 3D multi‐level pore channel structure inherited from MOF significantly increases the specific surface area and promotes the kinetics of electrolyte wetting and ion diffusion. Electrochemical tests show that in the three‐electrode system, the material achieves a high specific capacitance, which is significantly better than the single‐metal sulfide control group. This research lays a theoretical foundation for the development of energy storage devices with both high energy density and long lifespan through the synergistic mechanism of heterojunction interface engineering and pore structure regulation.
