Comparative analysis shows fixed interval scheduling improves vehicle occupancy and waiting times under uniform passenger flow, suggesting operational efficiency enhancements.
The article examines the impact of different types of schedules for regular route transportation on ve-hicle occupancy rates and average passenger waiting times. A comparative analysis was conducted between two scheduling systems: fixed and variable intervals. A mathematical model has been devel-oped, considering passenger flow intensity and service intervals, enabling assessment of average ve-hicle occupancy and waiting times at stops. Calculations based on various operational scenarios have confirmed the advantages of fixed-interval scheduling under conditions of uniform passenger flow. Conclusions emphasize the need for stable service intervals, proposing measures for their imple-mentation, including dedicated lanes and accelerated passenger boarding.
