Analysis reveals the connection between motorization, accident severity, and quality of life metrics in regions.
The article presents the results of a study of the statistical relationship between the level of regional motorization and the most important relative indicator of road traffic accidents rate, the severity of road accidents. It was found that in conditions of low motorization, the survival rate of victims of road accidents is significantly lower than in regions with high motorization. The high severity of road ac-cidents is typical for national regions with a low level of quality of life, which also affects the level of motorization. Obviously, it is the quality of life of the population that determines the qualitative side of the processes of road traffic accident formation. As a result, road safety largely depends on the quality of life of the country's population.
