The Jones Polynomial of a Connect Sum is Multiplicative: A New Approach Via Trip Matrices
Key Points
The jones polynomial is shown to be multiplicative under connect sums, enhancing its foundational understanding.
Utilizing trip matrices offers a novel perspective for deriving the jones polynomial relationships in topology.
The analysis reveals deeper insights into the characteristics of connect sums in knot theory.
This new approach is expected to open pathways for further research and proofs in algebraic topology.
Abstract
We utilize the trip matrix method of calculating the Jones Polynomial to give an alternative proof that the Jones Polynomial is multiplicative under connect sums.
