Research reveals noise and vibration characteristics in asynchronous electric motors, indicating the impact of rotor eccentricity.
The vibrations and acoustic noise caused by the magnetic field generated by an asynchronous electric motor with a squirrel-cage rotor and depending on its eccentricity are investigated. A finite element model of the АИР180М4У3 motor is developed taking into account the relationships of electromagnetic, structural-mechanical and acoustic processes at static eccentricity. The dependences of the noise level, stator vibration amplitude and von Mises stress on the rotor eccentricity are established.
