Local government productivity is extremely important to the development and management of grassroots communities. In Lagos State, Nigeria, Alimosho Local Government serves as a crucial case for understanding the dynamics of local government operations. This paper examines the factors influencing productivity within the Alimosho Local Government of Lagos State, it evaluates the effectiveness of governance structures, and suggests some strategies for improving service delivery. Using a mixed-methods approach, including interviews, surveys, and secondary data analysis, this study highlights both the challenges and opportunities in enhancing local government productivity.
