General characteristics of spiritual and moral values as an object of legal protection

The article is devoted to the consideration of spiritual and moral values as a special object in need of legal protection in modern conditions and receiving such protection. Various approaches to the definition of the concept of "spiritual and moral values" are analyzed. It is explained why, since the approval of the Foundations of state Policy for the Preservation and strengthening of traditional spiritual and moral values, many legal scholars, arguing about spiritual and moral values, rely on the normative definition of the concept of "traditional values". The author's definition of the concept of "spiritual and moral values" is formulated.
