The paper considers the use of a practice-oriented approach in the vocal training of the future music teachers as part of their professional training. The main directions of practice-oriented approach can be applied in the system of higher education in the organization of educational process of professional training of music teacher. The paper suggests ways of implementing practice-oriented approach in vocal training through enrichment of the content of educational material and through organization of educational activity of students.
