<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from an individual female <ns3:italic>Phymatocera aterrima</ns3:italic> larva (the Solomon's-seal sawfly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Tenthredinidae). The genome sequence spans 280.20 megabases. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 15 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 20.3 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 10,945 protein-coding genes.</ns3:p>
