In terms of countering the threat of sexual offences, the amendment introduced an important instrument for the prevention of such offences, modelled on the tried and tested UK Serious Case Reviews. This instrument allows the incident review team to review existing legal measures and formulate appropriate conclusions for the legislator. In addition, in order to increase the protection of minors’ rights, the Act introduced the National Plan for the Prevention of Violence against Minors and the National Plan for the Prevention of Offences against Sexual Liberty and Vice against Minors, which include issues concerning the organisation of social campaigns related to the strengthening of child-friendly justice. The powers of certain institutions have also been extended, including those of the State Labour Inspectorate to control the fulfilment of the obligations described in the previous section of this article.
