The fact that the number of people studying Chinese in the world is growing makes it necessary to solve problems related to both the effectiveness of its study and the quality of training of teachers who carry out this training. The most important issue in professional training is the determination of conceptual approaches to the process of teaching Chinese language to bachelors - future teachers in the aspect of cultural orientation. In the methodology of foreign language education, there are a number of cultural approaches aimed at co-studying language and culture. An analysis of scientific literature has shown the particular relevance of intercultural, sociocultural and linguocultural approaches to teaching foreign languages and the tendency towards their synthesis. On the other hand, a lack of research on intercultural issues in terms of teaching Chinese at the level of basic general education has been identified. Based on this, we can state that there is a problem of insufficient research on the issue of culturally oriented training of future Chinese language teachers for basic general education. The relevance of our article is determined by the need to resolve the contradiction between society’s need for linguistic and professional culture-oriented training of future teachers of Chinese as a foreign language and the insufficient methodological support for this process. The purpose of the article: to determine the essence of culturally oriented foreign language education, to identify the features of culturally oriented learning of the Chinese language by students of pedagogical training profiles in accordance with the principles of selecting the content of their linguistic and professional training. The article presents a theoretical analysis of the current state of implementation of culture-oriented teaching of foreign languages, focusing on describing its essence. The novelty of the research is determined by the requirements of society for the implementation of professional training of future Chinese language teachers. Practical significance is seen in the application of the research results by Chinese language teachers in educational organizations. The findings show that targeted special work is needed on the selection and organization of culturally oriented content to develop professional competence among future bachelors of pedagogical education. The implementation of culturally oriented training will allow us to identify promising opportunities for further improvement of linguistic and professional training of future Chinese language teachers.
