Risk management and obtaining external financing in commercial SMEs

The objective of the study was to establish the relationship between risk management and obtaining external financing in the San José Commercial Platform of Juliaca, Puno 2023. The methodology used was applied, quantitative, correlational, non-experimental and transversal; in addition, the sample was made up of 342 businessmen, two questionnaires were designed, which were validated through expert judgment and were applied through the survey to the sample. The results showed that although the owners of these companies regularly carry out risk management, it is not solid, which means that they do not have a real overview of their financial situation, contributing to the increase in difficulties in obtaining financing. It was concluded that there is a high relationship between risk management and obtaining external financing in companies in this market.
