The study is the result of Master's research, carried out with the Postgraduate Program in Curriculum and Management of Basic Schools (PPEB), of the Center for Transdisciplinary Studies in Basic Education (NEB) of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) and aims to The objective is to carry out a literature review analysis on the theoretical production of riverside education. For the development of academic research, a qualitative approach was chosen, through bibliographic research to analyze scientific documents. The results indicate that education developed in the riverside territory is centered on the “urbanocentric” model, centered on the interests of capital. To counter this conception of teaching, entities and social groups have defended an education that respects the diversity of the field, encouraging the formulation of pedagogical projects that focus on recognizing the voices, stories and struggles of Amazonian populations.
