UNSTRUCTURED As dermatology becomes an increasingly competitive residency specialty, this study aims to evaluate the quality and breadth of dermatology education in U.S. medical schools. Through a survey of all sixty accredited osteopathic (DO) medical schools and a comparative analysis with their allopathic (MD) counterparts, the study examines the presence and delivery of dermatology curricula. While both MD and DO programs provide dermatology education, notable differences were identified in the curriculum structure and the qualifications of instructors. This study highlights variations in faculty composition and examines their potential impact on the effectiveness of dermatologic training across both educational pathways.
