Abstract Acoustic sources offer a valuable but underutilized reservoir of environmental data. This paper explores the use of Arduino-based sensors to map noise pollution and monitor ecosystems. The system utilizes an ATmega328P chip, ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, and sound sensor to capture and transmit sound data. By analysing variations in sound intensity, the system can detect potential threats like illegal sand mining. The data can be uploaded to cloud platforms for visualization and analysis, enabling authorities to take swift action. This project contributes to creating a sustainable environment by promoting acoustic monitoring and ecosystem protection.
