History of the Jews in the Basque Country (thirteenth–nineteenth centuries)

There has been extensive research into the history of the Jews of the Iberian Peninsula. However, not all areas have received the same attention, as is the case of the Jews who lived in the Basque Country during the Middle Ages and in premodern times. For this reason, the aim of this article is to identify and account for the Jewish people, elements and events in the Basque Country during these centuries, on the basis of judicial and notarial documents from different archives in the Peninsula.
