Through careful word choice and never‐ending presence, oncology teams can provide ongoing, and even amplified support and care for hospice‐eligible patients and caregivers. Voicing nonabandonment, eliciting patient priorities and concerns, and making clear the myriad benefits of hospice care resources can all help oncology clinicians deliver high quality end‐of‐life cancer care.
