In the world of today, the offshore industry is still of central importance in the global energy sector, yet it faces significant challenges in managing its carbon footprint. As the world shifts towards more sustainable energy practices, the importance of accurately estimating and reducing carbon emissions in offshore activities has never been more critical. The Offshore Carbon Estimation (SOCE), an internal tool designed to address this challenge, is providing a cost effective, user friendly and reliable framework for estimation of the carbon footprint for Engineering Procurement Construction and Installation (EPCI) Projects in the offshore energy sector. Made available to users either through an excel file or an online Power Apps Platform, the SOCE tool, it is enabling transparency, collaboration, and independence in conducting carbon footprint analysis for tenders or projects assess to understand the impact of different strategic solutions and the emission reduction potential for the measures identified.
