The objective of this study is to conduct a study on the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) conditions in a medium-sized construction company. The analysis of this case study is based on the main activities carried out that may pose risks to the health and safety of workers at the construction site. In accordance with the provisions of the Regulatory Standards of the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE), and especially with the recommendations of NR 18, nonconformities are identified according to the audits carried out at the site, through: inspection at the construction site; analysis of documents of the occupational health and safety programs existing at the company studied; and use of checklists and photographic records. In this work, the calculation of possible fines and penalties is carried out in accordance with the provisions of NR 28. At the end, proposals for mitigating and corrective actions are presented, through the presentation of: an Action Plan that uses the 5W1H technique and through an inspection spreadsheet checklist of documents required by NR 18. 1217 legal requirements of the applicable Regulatory Standards are evaluated in a checklist, the result obtained was that 10% of these requirements were not met, it was also observed that 40.83% of these unmet requirements correspond to items of NR 18, which represents in monetary values 28.70% of the total value of the fine calculated based on NR 28. Therefore, the line of action to proceed with the preparation of the Action Plan is to establish priority in all unmet items belonging to NR 18, since in general these are the items that represent the greatest risks to the company.
