A new vacuum experimental facility is established and the vibrational characteristics of a rotating integrally bladed disk are studied without the interference of aerodynamic forces. Swept-sine excitation is implemented by a piezoelectric system. The response is measured using both strain gauges and blade tip timing. 10 modes in the first flexural bending (1F) mode family and 11 modes in the first torsional (1T) mode family are recognized by combining the two types of measurements. The deviations of the resonance frequencies estimated by BTT and SG are less than 0.08% for the 1F modes and 0.1% for the 1T modes.
