This article analyzes substantive compound nominative units in the aspect of linguistic categorization, the possibilities of fixing and ordering objects and phenomena of the existing reality by means of substantive composite nominative units. The empirical material is the substantive compound nominative units of the Belarusian, Russian and English languages. The identical nature of combining substantive compound nominative units into lexical-semantic categories in all compared languages has been established. The article also presents the quantitative data on the distribution of the units under study by lexical-semantic categories. It was found that most of the substantive constituent nominative units in 3 languages constitute the names of the products of human activity. In addition, other isomorphic and allomorphic characteristics in the systems of English, Belarusian and Russian languages are identified and analyzed in the aspect of language categorization.
