A one-stage parallel shaft gear transmission with a two-stage closed differential planetary gear train makes up a power split wind turbine gearbox. It has higher power density and smaller volume than traditional wind turbine gearboxes. The power split wind turbine gearbox’s three-dimensional translational-rotational coupling dynamic model is first constructed by using the lumped-parameter approach, and the dynamic equation is sorted into a matrix form. MATLAB programming is used to solve the natural frequency and vibration mode vector. Based on the findings, the gearbox system’s vibration modes may be categorized into six different types: global modes, first-stage and second-stage planetary gear modes, rigid body mode, and radial translational mode of a large parallel shaft gear. The parallel shaft big gear radial translational mode has nothing to do with the number of planet gears and coupling stiffness. Changing interstage coupling stiffness in a particular direction only affects the modes that vibrate in that direction.
