The study introduces novel and efficient metal-organic framework (MOF) derivatives, pivotal for advancing high-performance catalyst fabrication and applications. We synthesized a MOF-CoFe phosphide catalyst through a combination of MOF derivation and phosphating techniques, exhibiting significant catalytic synergy for the electrochemical OER. The optimized catalysts displayed superior OER performance, achieving the overpotential of 270 mV at 10 mA cm −2 significantly outperforming the original MOF-CoFe. This research broadens the potential applications of MOF derivatives in catalysis and energy conversion, marking a significant contribution to the field.
