For the photovoltaic cells in the local shade due to the difference in light intensity caused by the temperature inhomogeneity, affecting the surface heat transfer problem, this paper establishes the surface heat transfer model of photovoltaic cells in the local shade through the use of MATLAB analysis of photovoltaic cells surface heat transfer characteristics, to explore the mechanism and laws of heat transfer of photovoltaic cells in the local shade. The simulation results show that the convective heat transfer increases with the increase of the area of the shaded area, and the convective heat transfer with a wind speed of 2.5 m/s increases by about 77.2% compared with that with a wind speed of 1 m/s. The surface heat transfer of PV cells under partial shading increases with the rise of the area of the shaded area, and the surface heat transfer of PV cells under partial shading increases by about 77.2%. When the temperature of the shaded area is 20 K higher than that of the unshaded area, the radiative heat transfer of full shade increases by 19.3% on average compared with that of unshaded, and increasing the area of the shaded area increases the loss of radiative heat transfer. The output power of photovoltaic cells decreases with the increase of transmittance ratio or the enhancement of light intensity in both shaded and unshaded areas.
