AbstractBullying in academia and research institutes has been reported in the brave new digital world, raising concerns about social behaviour. First, bullying, as reported in the literature, is presented. Second, late Professor Stefan Grimm's case based on grant targets and metrics is detailed based on a peer-reviewed journal article, a popular blog post and media reports. Both types of bullying have elements of biopower. The first type of bullying is for a spot and moving upwards in the steep academic hierarchy. Stefan Grimm's case is within the upper strata of hierarchical structure. Wolfgang Pauli's "Not Even Wrong "for bad science is expressed analogously as "Not Even Bad " for bad and inharmonious social behaviour concerning several seekers of hierarchical glory, and for the case of Stefan Grimm. The relevance of Professor Jeffrey Hall's interview with the Current Biology journal to Stefan Grimm's case is presented. Since "metrics" is mentioned in Stefan Grimm's case, this article interprets Jacques Derrida's critical thinking on writing to understand why metrifying a text by the present procedure is "Not Even Wrong" and recommends validating metrics.
