A one‐pot, three‐component reaction of ethyl 5‐aminobenzofuran‐2‐carboxylate, arylglyoxals and cyclic 1,3‐dicarbonyl compounds in the presence of acetic acid as an organocatalyst in ethanol medium under reflux conditions provided a series of new 6 H ‐furo[3,2‐ e ]indole derivatives in good yields.
