Understanding the vertical and spatial distribution characteristics of soil salinity and soil particle size, and clarifying their relationship, has become essential for monitoring soil salinization, understanding potential salinization information, and soil management.Employing field sampling surveys combined with laboratory analysis and statistical methods, this study investigates the variation characteristics and relationships of soil salinity and particle size distribution (PSD) in the Ebinur Lake wetland. The results showed that soil salinization was more serious in the study area, and soil salinity showed obvious surface aggregation, and the total salt (TS) increased from bottom to top in the vertical profile. Anions were mainly Cl - and SO 4 2-, while cations were mainly Na ++K +, and surface soil salt types were predominantly chloride types. The degree of salinization is represented by 4%, 24% and 74% of moderately saline soils, heavily saline soils and saline soils, respectively. Soil particles in different soil depths were dominated by pulverized and sandy grains, and the soil fractal dimension (D soil) ranged from 1.91 to 2.76 with a mean value of 2.54. Soil salinity was positively correlated D soil, and positively correlated with clay and silt, but negatively correlated with sand. Among salt ions, Cl - and Na ++K + had the strongest correlation with D soil. As soil particles become finer, TS and D soil also gradually increase. To some extent, it can be shown that the higher the salinity level of the soil, the greater the D soil and the easier it is to accumulate salt values.
